David Bowie - Duality

Project Type: Editorial Design
Client: Personal Project

The brief was to design coordinated elements for a CD release by David Bowie. All written content was provided by the client. I chose to generate the graphic content manually using acrylic paint, which I then digitalised for reproduction. The concept behind the design was to represent the ambiguity that is Bowie through images, using colours from his perhaps most iconic album cover, 'Aladdin Sane.' The inspiration for the final shape of the product also came from his makeup. The idea continues in the booklet insert which includes his biography and interchangeable faces.

" I don't know where I'm going from here, but I promise it won't be boring."
